Job summary

Aquafil Carpet Recycling 1 in California seeks a versatile Warehouse Driver/Operator to collect carpet and padding from retailers and customers, load and secure trailers, and sort material by fiber type.

You will use light machinery such as a forklift and a baler, follow safety rules, and work with installers and staff to keep operations efficient and safe throughout the day.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of light machinery operation.
• Experience pulling trailers.
• Able to navigate a pickup and trailer combination.
• Valid Driver’s License with safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a pickup truck with a trailer to collect carpet from retailers/customers.

OVERALL GOALS

• Safely drive company pick-up truck with trailer to collect old carpet from retailers/customers.
• Efficient off-loading of carpet and pad materials.
• Accurate and efficient sortation by fiber type.
• Follow all safety rules for the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist installers as they drop off carpet and pad for recycling.
• Accurately use fiber ID guns to sort carpet by fiber type.
• Operate baler safely and efficiently to create carpet and padding bales.
• Operate fork-lift to move material around the yard and onto trucks for shipping.
• Safely drive truck and haul trailers of carpet and pad.

Qualifications
