Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a transportation professional to lead loading and dispatching of driver routes and support the transportation team. The role requires operating company or rental vehicles, and MVR monitoring will be performed regularly. A valid driver’s license is required to participate in daily operations.

You will train new drivers, coordinate route planning, and ensure orders and routes are accurate while delivering exceptional customer service across the service area.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience delivering merchandise to customers using a box truck or similar vehicle.
• Wholesale distribution experience.
• Clean driving record with no more than 2 minor accidents and 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR status.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the loading and dispatching of all driver routes.
• Oversees pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
• Conducts daily route planning and optimization for drivers.
• Serves as the primary point-of-contact for all driver-related issues.
• Coaches and trains new and existing drivers on policies and procedures and provides feedback to management on team performance.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure customer orders and daily routes are complete and accurate.
• Delivers customer orders within a service area; provides exceptional customer service during deliveries.
• Provides feedback to management on escalated customer service and sales-related concerns.
