Job summary

Seaboard Marine is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to process and maintain owner operators’ payroll and related records. You will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, communicate with drivers, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• One (1) year prior experience in data entry or as an Administrative Assistant in a fast-paced office environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process owner operators’ payroll for local, over-the-road and Houston area drivers.
• Maintain records for regulatory compliance (logs, inspections, reports).
• Communicate with owner operators, including non-English speakers, about payroll and licenses.
• Prepare and maintain driver citations and DOT inspections records.
• Submit waiting time and missed trip reports; manage record keeping.
• Handle fines/warnings and renew Port IDs as needed.
