Job summary

Sysco Eastern Maryland, LLC is seeking a finance-position employee responsible for checking in drivers after routes, counting products, and maintaining records of quantities and values. The role also involves inspecting returns and documenting information for efficient processing of items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of pallet jack and/or forklift experience.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.
• Exemplary listening skills for two-way communication.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Check-in drivers who have completed their routes and verify returned products and invoices.
• Identify missed collections and notify Credit Services.
• Ensure food safety protocols are followed on returns.
• Note delivery exceptions on invoices or reports.
• Inspect returned products for restocking or credit eligibility.
• Assign appropriate reason codes on invoices for efficient processing.
• Count returned items to ensure quantities match the return documents.
• Record overages and re-enter products into inventory when appropriate.
