Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Returns Clerk to check in drivers, count returned products, and maintain records of quantity, type, and value. The role includes inspecting returns, documenting discrepancies, and ensuring accurate processing of credits and restocking decisions.

The position requires basic math, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow safety protocols. High school diploma or equivalent and pallet jack/forklift experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year pallet jack and/or forklift experience.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Check-in drivers who completed routes by verifying returned products and signed invoices.
• Identify missed collections and notify Credit Services.
• Ensure food safety protocols were followed on returns and coordinate with Food Safety personnel.
• Note delivery exceptions on invoices or exception reports.
• Inspect returned products to determine restocking or credit eligibility.
• Assign appropriate reason and damage codes on invoices for processing.
• Group and stage returned products; count to match return sheets and invoices.
• Record stock available and re-enter into inventory system as needed.
