Key Responsibilities

• Operate various trucks, including doubles and straight trucks.
• Conduct safety inspections before, during, and after trips.
• Hook and unhook trailers and convertors.
• Handle freight with motorized and manual equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Secure freight using straps, ropes, and pallets, and repair damaged goods if needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Manage freight charges and maintain related records.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous material regulations and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding deliveries, delays, and needs.
• Provide excellent customer service, identify additional business opportunities, and perform road or freight handling duties when necessary.
• Perform tire chaining and other operational tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills
