Qualifications

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Through education and skills development, become proficient in operating tractor-trailer combinations, including pickups and deliveries between service centers or turn-point locations. Responsibilities may include non-driving duties such as forklift operation and dock work.

Essential Functions

• Operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and straight trucks
• Perform safety inspections before and after trips
• Hook/unhook trailers and convert dollies
• Maintain accurate logs and complete required documentation
• Follow dispatch instructions and communicate regarding delays or issues
• Ensure compliance with hazardous material regulations
• Provide customer service externally and internally
• Perform freight handling using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks
• Perform tire chaining and other duties as needed
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies

Working Conditions
