Job summary

EST FedEx Freight, Inc is seeking a driver qualified for a Class A CDL (or CLP) with strong MVR and DOT compliance. The role requires lifting up to 100 pounds, operating tractor-trailers including doubles, and performing safety inspections.

You will interact with dispatch and customers to determine pickup/delivery needs, handle freight using forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure proper documentation is completed. Training and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL or a commercial learning permit (CLP).
• Must possess acceptable MVR per hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under 49 CFR Part 391.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and hook up trailers.
• Ability to sit, bend, twist, and climb in/out of a truck.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre/post/inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies.
• Handle freight with motorized/manual equipment including forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight as needed.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays or issues.
• Engage customers to determine pickup/delivery needs and generate leads.
