Job summary

AAR Corp, a global aerospace and defense aftermarket solutions company, seeks a dedicated Operations professional in San Antonio, TX to perform flight line servicing, equipment handling, and GSE operations on a full-time basis.

You will operate forklifts, aircraft tugs, and related ground support equipment, fuel GSE as needed, and communicate clearly with teammates and supervisors while following safety procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications

• Proficient computer use and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to operate common hand and power tools.
• Written and verbal communication in English with others.
• Able to work in team or independently with success.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily flight line driving and servicing functions on simple components
• Pick up and delivery of equipment
• Operating forklifts, aircraft tugs, and ground support equipment
• Sets up and operates GSE
• Fuels GSE on the flight line as required
• Communicates orally and written with employees, supervisors and others
• Performs assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions
• Maintains documentation and time accounting systems associated with repairs (Track labor hours per job)
• Complies with all applicable technical orders, equipment manuals
• Maintains immediate work area, facilities, and vehicles using good housekeeping and safety practices
• Assists other mechanics
• * Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful in this role :

• Skill to proficiently use the computer
• Perform some basic troubleshooting
• Operate common and special hand and power tools
• Ability to work both as a team and/or independently with great success.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English, to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
