Job summary

AAR Corp is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic IV in San Antonio, TX. You will perform scheduled/unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting on GSE/vehicles, driving on flight lines and servicing simple components.

Role requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles, plus basic troubleshooting and software learning. Work is team-based or independent with strong communication to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic principles.
• Microsoft Office basics.
• Perform basic troubleshooting.
• Learn industry-related software.
• Operate common and special hand and power tools.
• Ability to work both as a team and/or independently with great success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily flight line driving and servicing functions on simple components.
• Maintains documentation and time accounting systems associated with repairs (Track labor hours per job).
• Complies with all applicable technical orders, equipment manuals.
• Maintains immediate work area, facilities, and vehicles using good housekeeping and safety practices.
• Performs other duties as required.

Description

Performs scheduled/unscheduled inspections, minor/major maintenance, operational checkouts and troubleshooting on assigned powered / non-powered type ground support equipment/vehicles
