Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Guilderland, NY seeks an energetic Driver to support residents with safe, reliable transportation to activities and appointments. This per diem role requires coordinating schedules, assisting residents in and out of the vehicle, and ensuring passenger safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and five or more years of driving experience, with preference for operating 7- to 16-passenger buses, and a commitment to compassionate, resident-centered

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of driving experience required.
• Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trip
• Practice safe driving techniques always
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs
• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creating and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community

Driver:
