Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Guilderland, NY is seeking an energetic Driver on a Per Diem basis to transport residents to activities and appointments and assist them during trips. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least five years of driving experience, with bus operation being a plus.

• Able to operate a seven to sixteen passenger bus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of the vehicle safely.
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraints during trips.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with Director of Activities to deliver Resident activities meeting individual needs.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicatedDriver.

Driver Responsibilities include:

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trip
• Practice safe driving techniques always
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs
• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creating and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community

Driver Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of driving experience required
• Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus preferred
