Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Salisbury, MD is seeking a Driver on a per diem basis to help transport residents to activities and social events.

You will operate a 7- to 16-passenger bus, assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle, and secure mobility devices while ensuring safe transport. A valid license and physical ability to lift 50 lbs are required. This position supports a compassionate aging services team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Five or more years of driving experience with valid driver's license.
• Able to operate a seven to sixteen passenger bus.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle to community destinations according to schedule.
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle safely.
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers during trips.
• Practice safe driving techniques at all times.
• Clean and service vehicle and report maintenance.
• Collaborate with Director of Activities to support resident programs.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Driver.

Driver Responsibilities include:

• Drive vehicle from community to social and other various destinations according to assigned schedule
• Assist residents into and out of vehicle in a safe manner
• Secure passengers’ wheelchairs and walkers to restraining devices to stabilize during trip
• Practice safe driving techniques always
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories and report and coordinate vehicle maintenance repairs
• Works with Director of Activities to deliver creative and exciting Resident activities meeting individual needs and interests within the community

Driver Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of driving experience with valid driver's license, required
• Able to operate a seven (7) to sixteen (16) passenger bus preferred
• Able to lift 50 lbs., required
