Job summary

Westmont Living is seeking compassionate Lifestyle/Activities Assistant and Driver candidates to support residents in our Carmel Valley location. You will help plan and lead activities, transport residents to appointments and events, and assist with documentation of programs within a warm, homelike assisted living environment.

Requirements include a Class B driving permit, ability to travel safely with residents, and willingness to participate in health screenings and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a Class B driving permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities as directed by Lifestyle Director.
• Encourage resident participation in planned activities.
• Assist with documenting and developing programs.
• Assist with community arts and crafts activities.
• Transport residents to appointments, shopping, and events.
• Cultivate leisure activities such as games and movies.
• Complete required health screenings and background checks.

What we need from you:

• Assisting with activities as directed by Lifestyle Director.
• Encourage resident participation to develop and maintain residents’ fullest potential through planned activities.
• Assist with documenting and developing programs
• Assist with the Community’s arts and crafts activities.
• Transport residents safely to and from various locations such as: medical appointments, shopping, banks, activities and social events
• Cultivate leisure time activities such as games, puzzles, movies, etc.
• Must have criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
• Must pass all health screen such as Physical, TB, Drug test
• Must have current basic first aid or obtain within first 30 days of hire.
