Job summary

Flying Food Group in Hawaii is seeking a dedicated driver/handler to assist with loading, unloading, and delivering catering services for aircraft and related facilities. The role emphasizes safety, HACCP compliance, and airport procedures.

You will coordinate with the dispatcher for flight times, verify meal carts, monitor temperatures, and ensure equipment is in good condition. Bilingual Spanish and English are required; a Class B license is needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft field operations.
• Knowledge of aircraft galleys and in-flight catering.
• Understanding of Customs seal requirements and TSA.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Able to lift, push and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Bilingual, Spanish & English required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, any day of the week.
• Class B License.

Responsibilities

• Load Catering Vehicle according to off loading specifications.
• Ensure airline is correctly catered and all equipment is in place.
• Load and unload aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.
• Off load vehicles at facility to ensure efficient processing of airline equipment.
• Verify meal carts based on Flight configuration.
• Verify flight for completeness to ensure your carts are complete.
• Monitor temperatures of carts to ensure HACCP compliance.
• Work with dispatcher for airline times and flight schedules.
• Drive safely to ensure no accidents occur.
• Follow Airport transportation driving rules for speed limits and safety.
• Conduct vehicle checks to ensure proper maintenance of vehicle.
• Report all vehicle repairs on transportation log and to management.
• Ensure proper operation of vehicle when loading and unloading aircraft.
• In-house flight verification only.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for assisting the Driver in every aspect of product delivery to and from aircrafts or other locations in an efficient and safe manner by following all company procedures.

Work Environment

This job operates in an outdoor environment assisting with the loading and unloading of products. The job can be physically demanding and may require working in various weather conditions.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. The facility operates 24 hours, 365 days. Must be willing to work any shift, days off as assigned by plant leadership.
