Job summary

Cano Health LLC in Brandon, FL is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients between origins and appointments in a courteous and timely manner, with a strong commitment to service excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma and up to one year of driving experience, plus a clean driving record; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. You will work flexible shifts, assist patients with getting in/out of the vehicle and with wheelchairs, and ensure safe transport.

Qualifications

  • Up to 1 year driving experience required; patient transportation preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish Preferred.
  • Clean driving record.

  • Assist patients to get in and out of the vehicle.
  • Assist patients with wheelchair.
  • Ensures the safety of all passengers.
  • Works flexible shifts as work dictates.
  • Deliveries, Holter monitors, and miscellaneous pick-ups as needed.
  • Transport patient to hospital or specialist office.
  • Checks and maintains van daily and ensures that it is mechanically safe and clean.
  • Report any incident or accidents to the supervisor and management immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Required to wear company uniform.
  • Utilize phone as routing system.
  • Any other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Must have basic mechanical skills i.e. ability to check and fully inspect their vehicles daily.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach, lift, carry and move objects.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit intermittently and occasionally climb.
  • The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Travel Requirements

Travel required. Work will involve driving/traveling to assigned clinics.

Tools & Equipment Used

Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.
