Job summary

Cano Health is seeking a patient transport associate to move patients between origin and appointments in a courteous and timely manner. You will assist patients in and out of the vehicle and with wheelchairs, ensuring passenger safety and driving to hospitals or clinics as scheduled.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license with a clean record, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Up to 1 year driving experience; patient transportation preferred.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver's license; clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of local streets and addresses.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and return of patients as per schedule.
  • Stays in contact with the office to report any change in schedule including any patient cancellations.
  • Assist patients to get in and out of the vehicle.
  • Assist patients with wheelchair.
  • Ensures the safety of all passengers.
  • Works flexible shifts as work dictates.
  • Deliveries, Holter monitors, and miscellaneous pick-ups as needed.
  • Transport patient to hospital or specialist office.
  • Check s and maintains van daily and ensures that it is mechanically safe and clean.
  • Report any incident or accidents to the supervisor and management immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
