Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager/Operating Partner in Allen, TX. This role leads store operations, develops staff, and drives guest satisfaction while managing costs and performance metrics.

The position commands a high level of accountability for daily profitability and adherence to brand standards. The candidate will oversee recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive local marketing efforts to boost sales and guest loyalty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (wage/hour laws, EEO, etc.).
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety laws and regulations.
• Basic computer, math, accounting, and reading skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership, time-management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage compensation levels according to company guidelines.
• Oversee operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Handle opening and closing duties and guest issues with escalation as needed.
• Lead regular team meetings to ensure standards and service.
• Maintain records and prepare operational reports.
