Job summary

ABB is seeking a Repair Technician in the Motion Service organization to repair standard drive units and subassemblies on-site in the US. You will review daily work, prioritize repairs, and coordinate with the team lead to schedule work and expedite orders.

You will troubleshoot drive components, perform testing and burn-in as needed, research BOMs/ECNs for required parts, and complete warranty and process documentation. A strong electrical background and ECAP 3 are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent with related experience.
• Ability to pass ECAP level 3.
• Experience with hand and power tools required.

Responsibilities

• Review and plan daily work assignments and prioritize repairs.
• Process repair work orders for customer and production orders.
• Troubleshoot drive units, subassemblies and circuit boards, perform testing and burn-in as needed.
• Research BOMs, ECNs, and parts; coordinate with Inventory Planner.
• Complete paperwork and failure analysis documentation.
• Ensure on-time, first-time-right repair to meet quality standards.
