Job summary

Sonic Drive-In seeks a General Manager to lead daily operations, training, and supervision of crew, carhops, and the management team. You will ensure clean and safe food service, exceptional customer experiences, and profitable operations in a fast-paced drive-in setting.

You will oversee scheduling, inventory, payroll, and compliance with labor laws while implementing marketing plans and improving financial performance. Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced studies preferred.
• Minimum 2 years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5-day workweek with 4 closing shifts (or 4-day week) including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Knowledge of federal/state labor laws and local health/sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs drive-in employees to meet operational standards.
• Open/close duties and staffing schedules.
• Monitor inventory and place orders within cost controls.
• Maintain employment records and payroll records.
• Resolve guest requests and complaints.
• Interview and hire restaurant staff to achieve staffing goals.
• Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to improve financial trends.
• Develop and implement a marketing plan.
