Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking a General Manager in Austin, TX to leadCrew/Team members, Carhops, and operations. You will train staff, schedule shifts, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires prior restaurant management experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. You will drive staffing, performance, and cost controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Crew/Team members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to ensure standards.
• Maintains employee records and payroll records.
• Prepares employee work schedules and staffing adjustments.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Resolves guest requests and reports complaints to supervisor.
• Interview and hire staff to achieve proper staffing levels.
• Develops action plans to address unfavorable financial trends.
• Develops and implements a marketing plan.
