Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations and staff development. You will train crew, supervise shifts, and ensure food quality, cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring restaurant management experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards of guest service and team morale.

Qualifications

• Restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy.
• Willingness to adhere to the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adheres to and monitors employee compliance of the employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory levels and food cost controls.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Maintains records and required documentation.
• Reinforces customer service mindset and basic guest satisfaction.
• Responds to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints.
