Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Kahului, Hawaii seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in drive‑in operations, ensuring a high‑quality, safe, and efficient customer experience. Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication and basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions independently.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coaches team/crew members, carhops, and skating carhops.
• Directs drive-in restaurant staff to meet service standards.
• Ensures compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory, and food cost; completes weekly inventory.
• Maintains required records and documentation.
• Supports a strong customer-service focus and handles guest requests.
• Responds to guest complaints and assists in resolutions.
