Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Territory Manager for the Hard Surface division to serve the DFW region and surrounding cities.

This entry-level sales role focuses on developing new customers and markets within the territory, supporting the company’s business plan and objectives. You will perform sales calls, present to clients, quote prices, take orders, and provide outstanding customer service while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree a plus.
• 1-3 years of progressively responsible work related experience.
• Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s diverse business and product lines.
• Proficient using a PC, e-mail and other in-house database systems.
• Knowledge of the terms, concepts and practices of the marketing and sales environment, to include basic accounting, product developments and manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales calls, traveling to customers and potential customers' facilities, share information and support, make sales presentations, quote prices, take orders and close transactions.
• Provide customer service to ensure resolution of issues within marketing policies.
• Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments as necessary.
• Monitor territory performance against objectives and take strategic action to improve performance.
• Provide product feedback to product line managers and other staff to support company goals.
• Assist in establishing sales objectives for the territory with the District Manager and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide timely reporting of activities in the field and to assist in business planning.
• Develop territory coverage plan defining type of support and frequency of customer contact.
• Perform analysis on region opportunities and develop sales forecasts and other reports.
