HDR is actively expanding its Drinking Water Market Sector with a multi-disciplinary team focused on growth, strategy and client service. The role drives market development, coordinates pursuit activities, and aligns HDR capabilities across geographies to win contracts.

The candidate will lead business development initiatives, strengthen client relationships, and mentor staff while supporting project delivery and technical excellence in water planning and engineering services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited civil or environmental engineering program.
• Professional engineering registration.
• Experience in development and management of strategic positioning and technical differentiation.
• Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and client management across the Drinking Water Market Sector.
• Develop pursuit strategies, propose technical differentiators, and coordinate cross-sector initiatives.
• Mentor staff and drive staff development within the sector.
• Support project delivery, QA/QC, and risk management in key engagements.
• Build and maintain senior client relationships and win high-value contracts.
