HDR is seeking a senior leader for the Drinking Water Market Sector to drive client development, strategy, and pursuit initiatives across HDR geographies. The role emphasizes strategic positioning, technical differentiation, and long-term relationship building with water utilities and public/private clients.

You will mentor staff, coordinate with regional leadership, and contribute to HDR's growth through pursuit leadership and program delivery excellence. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in drinking water planning, design, client development and project management.
• Experience building and managing strategic positioning and technical differentiation for planning/engineering services.
• Proven ability to develop and manage a wide network of client relationships and pursuits.
• Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead client management and pursuit efforts for Drinking Water Market Sector (BMD).
• Develop and execute strategies to win contracts across regions and sectors.
• Mentor staff and align projects with market sector initiatives.
• Coordinate with regional leaders to drive market share and client development.
• Support QA/QC and risk management on project deliveries.
• Engage with industry associations and HDR leadership to expand opportunities.
