Job summary

HDR is seeking a senior leader for the Drinking Water Market Sector to drive client development and strategic growth across HDR’s regional teams. This role focuses on pursuing projects, expanding client relationships, and shaping sector capabilities.

You will collaborate with Market Sector Directors and practice groups, manage pursuits, and contribute to HDR’s growth in international markets while promoting HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience in drinking water planning, engineering design, client development, and project management.
• Strong ability to develop strategic market positioning and technical differentiation.
• Experience managing broad client relationships and multi-project pursuits.
• Proven track record in growing programs in competitive markets and winning high-value contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead client management and pursue strategies to win new work across HDR market sectors.
• Coordinate with regional and area leadership to align Drinking Water initiatives and growth plans.
• Support staff development, recruitment, and mentoring within the sector.
• Travel as required to engage with clients and attend industry events.
