Job summary

HDR is seeking a Drinking Water Market Sector Business Development Director to lead strategies across geographies and coordinate with sector leadership, client managers, and HDR teams. This role focuses on top-line growth, market positioning, and cross-sector collaboration to advance HDR’s Drinking Water initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years relevant industry experience.
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering; PE registration preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build client networks and win contracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel.
Self-starter with independent project completion.

Responsibilities

Lead development and execution of drinking water market sector strategy across HDR geographies.
Act as Client Manager for key clients; be active and visible in the industry.
Lead pursuit strategies, proposal development and interview preparation.
Work with client managers to promote HDR services to Drinking Water clients across geographies.
Staff development: recruit planning and talent management; support project delivery with QA/QC.
