Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 10+ years in drilling oil and gas wells.
• BS in Engineering discipline with 5+ years in drilling oil and gas wells.
• Well control certification and strong leadership/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection, preparation, and maintenance of drilling fluids across rigs.
• Monitor and adjust drilling fluid properties in real time.
• Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with rig teams, provide training on drilling fluids.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure quality and cost targets.
• Support engineering to optimize fluid systems and well designs.
• Manage drilling fluid costs and minimize waste.
• Perform QA audits and stay updated on industry practices.
• Produce KPI reports on cost, efficiency, safety, and environmental metrics.
• Lead turnover with relief, ensure thorough handover and documentation.
• Attend performance reviews and actively participate in meetings.
• Coordinate with procurement on vendor bids and approvals.
