This role focuses on safe maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of drilling equipment used in surface mining to support production goals. The Drill Mechanic diagnoses mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues, performs preventative maintenance, and collaborates with operations to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience maintenance drilling equipment in surface mining.
• Ability to read electrical, air and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for drilling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Visibly support Peabody's Mission and Values.
• Inspect work areas for hazards and defects; diagnose faults or breakdowns.
• Estimate time and materials; raise orders for parts; perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes when required.
