Responsibilities

• Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values
• Act in accordance with Safety as a Way of Life Management System
• Inspect work area or hazards, damage and defects
• Diagnose faults or breakdowns
• Estimate time and materials required to complete jobs
• Raise orders for materials
• Undertake repairs or component changeouts as required
• Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
• Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot situations arising in the drill maintenance area
• Ability to operate oxygen/acetylene cutting torch and perform arc welding with low hydrogen electrodes
• Ability to read and use low voltage electrical, air and hydraulic schematics
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Ability to rebuild air valves and adjust air system governors
• Other duties as assigned by the company
