Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. in Wright, WY seeks a Welder to join the Maintenance team at the North Antelope Rochelle Mine. You will perform preventive and breakdown welding on heavy equipment in open cut environments, inspecting drawings, diagnosing faults, and ordering materials.

The role requires heavy equipment welding experience in mining or construction, ability to work in all weather and various shifts, and willingness to train others; benefits include 401K match and health plans.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment welding experience required in mining or construction.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and various times of day.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.
• Ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown welding on heavy equipment in open cut environments.
• Inspect work area and plant for hazards, damage and defects.
• Diagnose faults or breakdowns and estimate time/materials.
• Raise orders for materials and perform component changes as required.
• Ensure safety, environmental and statutory requirements are met.
