Job summary

BBI Logistics, LLC in Columbus, OH is seeking a dynamic on-site sales professional to grow our drayage business across the US and MX. You will identify and contact potential clients, build relationships with shipping lines and port authorities, and convert warm leads into lasting partnerships.

Responsibilities

You must be able to work 100% on-site at our HQ in downtown, Columbus, OH

What you'll be doing.

• Energize your creativity to identify and self-generate new leads within the drayage market in the US and MX. Seek out potential clients and establish initial contact. Be able to convert warm leads into a sale
• Initiate sales calls and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders including shipping lines, logistics providers, freight forwarders, and port authorities
• Utilize your exceptional negotiation skills to reach mutually beneficial agreements with clients, carriers, and suppliers
• Stay on the cutting edge of industry trends, keeping a finger on the pulse of the drayage landscape to capitalize on emerging opportunities
• Collaborate with team mates to ensure smooth and efficient drayage operations

What you'll bring to the table.

• Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling prospects and making a sale
• You are a master at closing the deal and you have proven experience in hunting and closing business
• International, drayage or logistics sales experience preferred
• 2+ years of professional sales experience preferred
• Willing to go the extra mile to do whatever it takes to get the job done
• Entrepreneurial and competitive spirit (if you're not first, you're last)
• Strong ability to sell and negotiate with confidence and a winning attitude
• Maintain composure in high-stress scenarios
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to recognize and prioritize profitable opportunities
