Job summary

Carole Fabrics is seeking a detail-oriented Pleat Folder 1 to fold finished draperies using a fan fold machine. You will ensure accurate folding, labeling, and preparation for the next processing stage.

Candidates should read work tickets, identify panels and left/right sides, and maintain a safe work environment. This role requires reading a tape measure, basic fabric knowledge, and the ability to stand for extended periods while handling potentially heavy fabrics.

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Ability to read measurements and follow instructions.
• Experience with production equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive finished drapery from the Drapery Inspector.
• Review work ticket to identify panel vs. pair and left/right panel.
• Place finished drapery onto the Fan Fold machine hanger arm.
• Align drapery pleats for proper folding.
• Apply paper bands and label measurements/side designation.
• Send banded drapery to Pin & Clip station and Memory Stitch as needed.
• Maintain safety and clean work area and follow PPE rules.
