Hatteras Press, Inc. in New Jersey seeks a Folder Operator to set up and run folding equipment, producing a range of folds from standard to complex on varied stock. You will meet speed and quality targets while coordinating with team members to ensure correct job execution.

The role requires reading job tickets, basic math, and strong mechanical knowledge of folder setups. You will log outputs, maintain equipment, and keep the work area organized to deliver accurate, timely shipments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions and job tickets.
• Knowledge of the mechanical setup of folders.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Strong analytical and computer skills; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run standard folds on standard paper stock.
• Run complex folds, including PI folds and folds on difficult stock.
• Presets: side guides, fold plates, fold rollers, blades.
• Jog and load paper onto the feeder.
• Adjust the machine during the run to meet quality and speed.
• Log folded signatures for subsequent operations or shipment.
• Operate two or more machines simultaneously as needed.
• Record counts in data collection system and logbooks.
• Tag skids and route material to correct destination.
• Capture job-related costs in data system.
• Baseline output against blueprints or samples.
• Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain organized work area.
