Hunter Douglas, the world’s leading window coverings manufacturer, is seeking a pleater operator at Carole Fabrics. You will prep drapery panels, mark pleats, and prepare for grommeting, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.
• General knowledge of fabrics.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Successfully pass color blind test.
• Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling.
• Capable of standing/sitting for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting on a continuous basis.
• Strong attention to details.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plead marking on drapery panels and prepare for grommeting.
• Read work ticket for instructions and sign.
• Measure widths, adjust returns and overlaps.
• Mark drapery for pleat and manage up to 4 panels at a time.
• Fold seams and place on finish rack according to date.
• Report defects to supervisor and place on hold if needed.
• Ensure quality <1% and 70-100% workflow efficiency.
• Operate grommet equipment and punch holes.
