Job summary

McFarland Johnson is seeking a motivated Drainage/Stormwater Engineer to join the Water Resources Group. You will work on transportation, bridge, aviation, municipal, and land development projects, focusing on stormwater management and water resources engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 2–5 years in water resources, stormwater, drainage, or civil engineering.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and stormwater design.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and design tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for roadways, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Support stormwater management and drainage design per regulations.
• Prepare calculations, reports, permit applications, construction plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Use H&H modeling, CAD, and GIS tools for analysis and documentation.
• Conduct field investigations and data collection.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permitting and approvals.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, environmental scientists, and PMs on multidisciplinary projects.
