Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineer-in-Training: Drainage to join our Inland Northwest hydraulics team. You will develop hydraulic and drainage solutions for transportation projects across Idaho and Eastern Washington, working with ORD, Civil 3D, and GIS under experienced engineers.

You will gain field data experience, contribute to reports, and progress toward Professional Engineer licensure through guided mentorship and progressively challenging assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-3 years of Civil Engineering experience.
• Interest in hydrology, river hydraulics, scour, and drainage design.
• Exposure to engineering analysis, modeling, GIS, or CAD software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist hydrologic analyses and design flows.
• Support 1- and 2-D hydraulic modeling of rivers and floodplains.
• Assist with bridge and culvert hydraulic evaluations.
• Support scour analyses and erosion protection design.
• Prepare construction plans and project calculations with ORD and/or Civil 3D.
• Document calculations and reports for review by engineers.
