Job summary

Consor in El Paso, TX is seeking an Engineering Designer to lead drainage design for transportation projects, serving as a technical resource for stormwater solutions and guiding junior designers from concept through final design.

You will perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses, ensure designs meet regulations, and coordinate with roadway, bridge, and environmental teams, with growth opportunities into project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
• 2+ years of Texas transportation drainage design experience.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Experience with MicroStation & OpenRoads Designer.

Responsibilities

• Lead drainage design plan preparation for transportation projects including stormwater management.
• Perform advanced hydraulic and hydrologic analyses to evaluate drainage performance and mitigate floods.
• Ensure designs comply with federal, state, local regulations and client standards.
• Coordinate drainage design with roadway, bridge, utilities, survey, and environmental disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers and staff.
• Support design reviews, quality control, schedule management, and client coordination.
