Job summary

Consor is seeking a Drainage Design Engineer to plan, analyze, and design drainage infrastructure for transportation projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver stormwater solutions, including storm sewers, culverts, detention facilities, and roadway drainage networks.

You will perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, prepare design plans and reports, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5–10 years of transportation drainage experience with TxDOT projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency in Microstation ORD, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.
• Experience with proposal writing/marketing is a plus.
• Hybrid office/field work environment with potential weather exposure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review drainage design plans, calculations, and reports for transportation projects.
• Apply drainage design standards and agency guidelines for accuracy and constructability.
• Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, sizing, modeling, cost estimates, and takeoffs.
• Use modeling software to evaluate drainage performance and flood risk.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and reviewing agencies.
• Support QA reviews and respond to drainage design comments during plan development.
