Job summary

Mechanical Services & Design Inc in Dayton, OH is seeking a Drain Technician to diagnose and resolve commercial drain issues, perform minor plumbing repairs, and deliver exceptional service.

You’ll operate drain cleaning equipment, read blueprints, and work with a service team. Must have 3+ years of plumbing or drain experience, strong customer service, and a valid driver’s license; US citizenship or PR preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plumbing or drain service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting commercial drain systems.
• Ability to operate drain cleaning and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and clear drain blockages in commercial facilities.
• Operate drain cleaning equipment, sewer cameras, jetters, and other specialized tools.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs as needed.
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions with customers.
• Complete detailed service reports and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicle.
• Collaborate with dispatch and the service team to ensure efficient scheduling and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.

Drain Technician

In this role, you’ll diagnose and resolve drain issues, perform minor plumbing repairs, and provide exceptional service to commercial customers throughout the region.

What You’ll Do

As a Drain Technician, you’ll work directly with commercial customers to identify and resolve drain and plumbing issues while delivering a high level of professionalism and customer service.

• Diagnose and clear drain blockages in commercial facilities.
• Operate drain cleaning equipment, sewer cameras, jetters, and other specialized tools.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs as needed.

We’re looking for technicians who are dependable, mechanically inclined, and enjoy solving problems in the field.

• 3+ years of plumbing or drain service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting commercial drain systems.
• Ability to operate drain cleaning and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions.
• Basic plumbing hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• State plumbing apprenticeship completion is a plus but not required.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.
