Job summary

Mechanical Services & Design in Dayton, OH seeks an experienced Drain Technician to diagnose and resolve drain issues for commercial customers. You will perform minor plumbing repairs, operate special equipment, and provide detailed service reports across the region.

The role involves on-site work, on-call rotation, and collaborating with a service team to ensure customer satisfaction. A 3+ year plumbing/drain background and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of plumbing or drain service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting commercial drain systems.
• Ability to operate drain cleaning and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and clear drain blockages in commercial facilities.
• Operate drain cleaning equipment, sewer cameras, jetters, and other specialized tools.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs as needed.
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions with customers.
• Complete detailed service reports and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked service vehicle.
• Collaborate with dispatch and the service team to ensure efficient scheduling and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
