We are seeking a Drafting Legal Assistant to join our growing team. Who We Are Our law office has locations within Ohio. You MUST live in the state of Ohio or West Virginia to apply to this role. About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant with at least one year of experience in legal support, particularly in drafting documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of property deeds, recording requirements, and legal documentation procedures. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Supports the vision and mission of our law office. • Prepare trusts, deeds, ancillaries, legal correspondences, and other documents requested from any of the attorneys. • Review Attorney Meeting Focuser and Design information for completion and accuracy. • Follow up with clients and/or Attorneys regarding missing information and/or help gather clarifications. • Prepare supporting documentation such as letters, reports, etc. • Work with other team members and the legal team for case status updates, recording updates timely manner within the client’s files. • Review daily tasks and reminders within the client software system, making sure that all files are updated with the appropriate notes within 48 hours of obtaining the information. • Review upcoming calendar items and prioritize workload based on firm standard guidelines. • Complete all assigned tasks according to firm standards. • Prepare for meeting(s) where legal documents are necessary within 48 hours before the scheduled meeting(s). • Meet with the associate and legal team for case status updates. • Monitor and track all active cases for progress and ensure proper completion through the drafting and signing process. • Draft any necessary documents for the funding of a trust, including specific assignments, assignments of ownership interest, additional deeds, etc., as directed. Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Legal Assistant or in a related role. • Experience with deed processing and recording procedures. • Experience working with deed recording requirements and legal terminology. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Prior experience in a law firm. Experience as a legal secretary or legal assistant is especially pertinent. • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Compensation: $45,000 - $47,000

Compensation:
$45,000-$47,000 per year
