**Caton Construction Group, part of The Caton Companies, headquartered in Troy, VA and Cary, NC, is expanding! We are currently seeking DOZER Operators for our roadway project in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina (Cornelius).**

**Preference will be given to Dozer Operators with MACHINE CONTROL DOZER experience.**

The heavy equipment operator operates a variety of contractor equipment and maintains the equipment daily.

Starting pay is based on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in moving and grading dirt, digging ditches and trenches, hoisting materials, tools, and equipment, and related tasks using bulldozers, backhoes, road graders, or front-end loaders.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment; report defects or repairs to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all safety and security standards.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Hours

Full-time. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, with lunch breaks. Work may be local or out-of-town, requiring overnight stays. Long hours, weekend work, and overtime are expected.

Travel/Driving

Primarily local travel during the workday; some out-of-area and overnight travel may occur. A valid driver’s license is required.

Minimum Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of experience operating medium and heavy equipment.
