This is a permanent maintenance position working eight (8) flexible hours per day. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment as well as miscellaneous lawn care equipment. The position is a Grade 6, Class A maintenance role, with a starting rate of $21.06 per hour after the probationary period. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Grounds Working Foreman and must be capable of operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, boom trucks, loaders, tractors, skid steers, etc., along with lawn care equipment. Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, ability to follow directions, work safely, and maintain a flexible schedule are essential. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, with hours typically during the daytime but may vary based on weather or project needs. Testing may be required.
General labor work on the grounds crew will support district buildings and grounds, with hours that may shift to alternate shifts as needed.
