Job summary

Hyatt Place Hyatt House Tampa Downtown is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The role involves preparing and serving beverages for bar and restaurant guests, maintaining a clean and stocked bar, and supporting servers during peak hours.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of bartending experience, strong cocktail knowledge, and excellent customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bartending certification preferred.
Minimum 1 year bartending experience in a restaurant or high-volume bar.

Responsibilities

Prepare beverages for bar guests and restaurant server drink orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Greet guests, take drink orders, make recommendations, and provide welcoming service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout the shift.
Support servers by preparing beverages and coordinating drink delivery during meal service.
Process guest payments, manage tabs, and handle cash accurately.
Verify guest ID and ensure responsible alcohol service at all times.
Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies.
Clean and sanitize bar areas, glassware, equipment, and tools.
Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
Address guest concerns professionally and alert management when needed.
