United Protective Services is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee security operations at a premier Downtown Office Building in Austin. You will lead a security team, ensure safety, and provide exceptional customer service to tenants, employees, visitors, and property management.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing security personnel.
• Experience in commercial office buildings or Class A properties.
• Knowledge of access control, CCTV, patrol procedures, incident reporting, and emergency response.
• Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with tenants, property management, executives, visitors, and emergency responders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn security-related technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily security operations.
• Supervise, schedule, and provide leadership to Security Officers.
• Ensure proper staffing while effectively managing overtime.
• Train, coach, counsel, and evaluate Security Officers.
• Ensure officers meet appearance, customer service, attendance, and performance standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of personnel, posts, and equipment.
• Oversee access control, CCTV monitoring, patrols, visitor management, and incident response.
• Review incident reports and other security documentation for accuracy.
• Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, fire alarms, medical calls, and other situations.
• Maintain communication with property management and United Protective Services leadership.
• Attend client meetings and provide staffing/incident updates.
• Ensure compliance with post orders, procedures, policies, and client expectations.
• Identify security concerns and recommend improvements.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and training.
• Develop Security Officers and identify future supervisors.
