Job summary

Marriott Jacksonville Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a full-time Server to provide guests with exceptional service from greeting to check presentation. You will input orders into the POS, ensure accuracy, and transport meals to tables, while maintaining compliance with beverage service rules.

Qualifications

• Professional appearance and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Willingness to pitch in and help co-workers as a team player.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items and specials.
• Ability to carry up to 30 lbs and operate beverage equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly manner and explain specials or promotions.
• Record orders accurately and input into the POS system for kitchen prep.
• Deliver completed orders to guests with correct condiments and beverages.
• Assist with serving alcohol in compliance with state and corporate rules.
• Replenish beverages, upsell desserts or specialty coffees as requested.
• Present checks promptly and close out accurately; maintain guest satisfaction.
• Attend work regularly and comply with attendance policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
