Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Server at Marriott Jacksonville Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. You will assist the Banquet Manager, set up rooms, greet guests, and serve courses with attention to guest satisfaction.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 lbs, and complying with alcohol-service policies. A team-oriented, flexible approach is essential to support events and ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Team player and willing to pitch-in.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.
• Familiarity with table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to understand and apply product labeling instructions for safe hotel operations.
• Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room per Supervisor instructions.
• Attend roll call meetings to learn function details.
• Greet guests and respond to requests politely.
• Serve food and beverages to standard; remove dishes as courses finish.
• Follow all state, federal and company alcohol-service requirements.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Reset banquet room for the next function.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
