Job summary

Summit Line Construction is seeking a DOT Specialist to administer and maintain regulated testing programs and ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA requirements.

You will manage SAP coordination, RTD schedules, DISA enrollment, and accurate testing records while collaborating with People Team and Safety to uphold regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Highschool degree required.
  • Experience with DOT compliance.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
  • Experience with drug/alcohol testing programs preferred.

  • Manage DOT and non-DOT drug/alcohol testing programs including random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion.
  • Review quarterly random selections and ensure timely test completion.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential testing records and logs.
  • Complete DOT-compliant employment verifications and maintain detailed logs.
  • Coordinate with People Team, DOT, Safety, and management to ensure compliance and timely testing.

Position Overview

The DOT Specialist administers and maintains the DOTregulated and nonDOT testing programs, including random, postaccident, reasonable suspicion, and returntoduty testing. This role manages SAP coordination and RTD schedules, oversees DISA enrollment and compliance, completes DOTcompliant employment and testing verifications, and maintains accurate , confidential testing records and logs. The position collaborates closely with People Team , Safety, DOT, and field/office management to ensure timely testing, proper documentation, and adherence to all regulatory and company requirements.

What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance and Program Administration
  • Administer and maintain all DOT and regulated testing program compliance requirements.
  • Administer DOT and non-DOT drug/alcohol testing programs including random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion.
  • Review and document quarterly random selections and ensure timely test completion.
  • Review and resolve NECS/DOT missing items and ensure completion of requirements.
  • Case Management and Documentation
  • Manage SAP coordination and Return-to-Duty (RTD) documentation and testing schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential testing records.
  • Complete DOT-compliant employment verifications and maintain detailed logs.
  • Data Monitoring and Follow-Up
  • Monitor results, follow up on outstanding tests, and coordinate disciplinary actions with People Team .
  • Manage DISA enrollment, compliance, background checks, and test verifications.
  • Cross Department Coordination and Communication
  • Collaborate with People Team , DOT, Safety, and Office Managers to ensure compliance and effective communication.

  • Climb ladders and stairs
  • Work at elevated heights when necessary
  • Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Maintain visual awareness sufficient to safely operate tools and equipment
